Here you can find out which personal data Super Transport GmbH processes when you visit our website or contact us, and what rights you have. This English version is a translation for convenience only; the German version is legally binding.
1. Introduction
We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law, in particular the revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG).
Below, we inform you, among other things, about who is responsible for processing your data, which data we collect in connection with visits to our website and the use of our services, for what purposes we process this data and, where applicable, to whom we disclose it. We also inform you about the duration of the processing, the legal basis for the processing (where one is required) and the rights you have towards us with regard to the processing of your data.
This privacy policy applies to all of your data that we already hold or will hold in the future. We may amend it from time to time. The current version published on our website applies in each case.
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person (hereinafter ‘personal data’). This includes in particular name, address, telephone number and email address, and in certain circumstances also IP addresses and device IDs. In this privacy policy, the generic term ‘data’ covers not only personal data but also non-personal and anonymised data. Processing means any handling of data, irrespective of the means and procedures used, in particular the collection, storage, use, modification, disclosure, archiving or deletion of data (hereinafter ‘processing’).
If you provide us with personal data of other persons, please ensure that these persons are aware of this privacy policy, and only share their personal data with us if you are entitled to do so under applicable data protection law.

3. Categories of data processed
We collect certain data when you visit our website, use our services and contact us. As a rule, we collect this data directly from you.
The data listed below is not always personal data. Data that arises when you use our website without providing any information about yourself generally cannot be attributed by us to a specific named person. In individual cases, however, this may be possible in combination with other data.
Please note that information you send us via a form on the website may also contain sensitive personal data (for example health data). You provide such information to us voluntarily.
The personal data we process may include, in particular, the following data:
- Data generated or disclosed when you visit our website or use our services. This includes, among other things, the IP address and the MAC address or device ID of the device used, cookies, pages accessed and search terms entered, entries in dialogue boxes, ratings, the time and duration of visits, clicks, referrer and exit URL, information on the time of use, the browser, device type, operating system and internet service provider, and the volume of data transferred.
- Data exchanged in the course of contact with us or in connection with it, for example by letter, telephone, email or via the website’s forms (in particular name, contact details, gender, marital status, date of birth, job title, photo, employees, language and payment information).
- Data relating to quotations and concluded contracts (for example date, type, content, subject matter, parties, term, value and amendments of the contract, payment details, contact details, contact persons, billing and correspondence addresses, customer feedback, terminations and disputes).
- Data you disclose when taking part in prize draws, surveys and the like.
4. Contact form and quote request form
You can send us an enquiry using the contact form and the three-step quote request form. We record the information you enter yourself: name, email address, telephone number, addresses, preferred dates and further details of the order, photos or PDF files attached voluntarily, and your message as free text.
Your enquiry is stored in the website’s database and sent to us by email so that we can answer it and, where appropriate, prepare a quotation for you. Attached files are stored on the website’s server.
Together with the enquiry, we store the time of submission and your IP address. This information serves the security of the website and the prevention of misuse, such as automatically sent enquiries.
We use the information from the forms only to deal with your enquiry and to process any order resulting from it. We do not use it for advertising.
5. Purposes of processing
Insofar as permitted under applicable law, we process personal data in particular for the following purposes:
- initiation, conclusion, performance and handling of contracts
- offering, further development and improvement of our offerings, development of new services, and operation, maintenance and optimisation of our services and infrastructure as well as ensuring their security
- administration of the users of our services and identity checks
- maintenance, administration and development of our customer relationships, communication with customers and third parties, promotions, advertising and marketing, and offering tailored services and relevant content
- quality control and compiling statistics
- compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and internal rules, enforcement of legal claims, civil, administrative and criminal proceedings, complaints, combating misuse, investigations and responding to requests from authorities and public offices
6. Legal basis
Insofar as applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal data for the purposes stated on the basis of:
- performance of a contract
- fulfilment of legal obligations
- consent given to us or to third parties
- our legitimate interests and those of third parties, in particular offering and providing services, advertising and marketing, maintaining contacts and communicating with users, user administration and identity checks, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, enforcement of legal claims, civil, administrative and criminal proceedings, complaints, investigations and responding to requests from authorities
7. Disclosure of data
We may disclose data as follows:
Processors: We may engage third parties to provide certain services (for example in the areas of IT, operation of applications, administration or dispatch) and to process and store data (known as processors). Processors may have access to personal data and process it on our behalf. We oblige them to comply with data protection law and to process data only in the way we do ourselves. Our processors include in particular our hosting provider, on whose servers this website is operated and the enquiries from the forms are stored, and our email provider.
Contractual partners: We may disclose data to contractual partners (for example sales partners, service providers or financial companies). This happens, for example, to fulfil contractual obligations, to offer certain services, for debt collection and marketing, for analysing the use and operation of our services, systems and infrastructure, and for payment processing. Possible recipients may also include acquirers of, or parties interested in acquiring, business divisions, the company or parts thereof. Contractual partners may obtain access to personal data and process it for their own purposes (for example to perform the contract or to fulfil their own legal obligations). In doing so, they are themselves obliged to comply with applicable data protection law. Contractual partners who may receive personal data may be located in any country, in particular in Switzerland, in EU and EEA countries and in the USA.
Authorities: In certain situations, we may disclose data to authorities, public offices and other third parties. We do so if we are requested to do so by an authority or official body or if, in our assessment, we are obliged to do so.
8. Retention period
We store personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which we collected it. Certain personal data is also subject to statutory retention obligations of ten years or more, which we take into account. We may also store personal data for at least the duration of the applicable limitation periods, which in many cases are five or ten years.
Personal data generated in connection with the use of our services (for example records, logs and analyses) that is not subject to such retention or limitation periods is generally deleted earlier, as soon as we no longer have an interest in processing it. Data may also be kept for longer in anonymised form. Subject to an express contractual agreement, we are not obliged towards you to retain data for any particular period.
9. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction and unauthorised access by third parties. We continuously improve our security measures in line with technological developments.
10. Your rights (data subject rights)
Every data subject has the right to request information about the personal data concerning them. They may also request from us the rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of their personal data and object to such processing. Exercising these rights generally requires the data subject to prove their identity unambiguously. Where processing is based on consent, the data subject may withdraw that consent at any time.
In certain cases, the data subject has the right to receive the data generated through the use of online services in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format that enables further use and transmission.
Please send requests concerning these rights to the address given in section 2 or by email to [email protected]. We reserve the right to restrict the data subject’s rights within the scope of applicable law and, for example, not to provide complete information or not to delete data. Please also note that once your personal data has been deleted, services will no longer be available or usable, in whole or in part.
Every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (EDÖB).
11. Cookies and web analytics
Cookies are small files that your browser stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. When your browser accesses the website again, the website can recognise it by means of the cookie. Cookies can store settings and other information.
Our website sets a technically necessary session cookie. It is required for the security of the forms (protection against improperly submitted forms) and is deleted automatically after your visit.
In addition, the website may store two further cookies that remain on your device for up to one year: one that records the language selected for the website and one containing a randomly generated identifier for our own access statistics.
For these access statistics, our website’s server records which pages are accessed, the time of access, the previously visited page (referrer), the IP address and the identifier from the cookie. We evaluate this information only in order to see how our website is used. The statistics are compiled on our website’s server; no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
We do not use any web analytics, tracking or advertising services from third parties, do not display personalised advertising and do not load any fonts or scripts from external servers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that you may then not be able to use all functions of the website. Without the session cookie, for example, the forms cannot be submitted.
12. Integration of third-party services
We do not directly embed any content or services from third parties on our website, for example no videos, maps or payment services.
However, the website contains links to third-party services, for example to our Google Business Profile with reviews. If you follow such a link, you will be taken to the website of the respective provider. Please note that the data processing carried out by these third parties is governed by their own terms of use and data protection provisions.
